About The Position

BranchLab is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to specialize in healthcare data and support the models behind its Pathwai™ platform. The role focuses on owning custom experiments and analyses, conducting feasibility assessments, and evaluating new data partners. The Senior Data Scientist will work cross-functionally with client success, engineering, product, and partnerships teams to deliver rigorous analyses with direct client and product impact.

BranchLab’s mission is to make healthcare commercialization more effective, efficient, and responsible while protecting privacy. Pathwai combines healthcare AI, agentic workflows, audience activation, and performance measurement and optimization. The role offers exposure to production models, deep learning, and AI agents in a regulated setting. The position is based in Boulder, Colorado, is hybrid, and reports to the VP of Data Science and AI.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working with healthcare claims, EHR, or similar data to deliver client-facing results.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Strong proficiency in statistics and experimental design.
• Ability to translate business and customer priorities into analysis results.
• Ability to adapt communication to different internal and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with PySpark, AWS, and GitHub.
• Experience in pharmaceutical marketing or commercialization.
• An advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Epidemiology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design experiments and implement analyses to build audiences that cannot currently be built in the platform.
• Drive feasibility assessments to inform product requirements and capabilities.
• Evaluate potential new data sources and recommend their value.
• Work independently with client success, product, and partnerships teammates to deliver analyses and achieve role objectives.
