Senior Data Scientist
About The Position
ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to collaborate with the Head Quarters BI team to understand business requirements and design appropriate data solutions. The role involves leveraging industry best practices to analyze cross-functional data, provide insights to business teams, and assist stakeholders with data analysis, design data models, and develop DB Views and Calculation Views in SAP HANA. The position requires implementing snapshot processes, data refresh schedules, and exception handling procedures, as well as defining data integration requirements between various systems. The Senior Data Scientist will follow documented architecture, design, and deployment processes, partner with the Global BI team for solution implementation and end-user adoption, and stay updated with the latest technology advances in SAP HANA. Additionally, the role involves developing functional subject matter expertise within various areas of enterprise business processes.
Requirements
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
- 6+ years of documented experience as a SQL developer in data warehouse technologies
- 2+ years of SAP HANA experience is a must.
- SAP HANA Modeling experience is a must.
- Expertise in database design & development & SQL on SAP HANA, Oracle or SQL Server.
- Experience in ad-hoc data analysis, solution design, reporting & dashboard development
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work individually and in a broader geographically disperse team
Nice To Haves
- Special consideration for an interest or experience in Data Science projects, and for experience in working with large historical snapshot tables.
- Experience in BI technologies like Tableau, OBIEE, QlikView, Microsoft BI is a plus
- Prior ServiceNow platform experience is a huge plus
Responsibilities

- Leverage prior experience and industry standard best practices to analyze cross functional data and provide insights to business teams
- Assist stakeholders with data analysis, design data models & develop DB Views, Calculation Views etc. in SAP HANA to meet business need
- Implement snapshot processes, data refresh schedules, exception handling procedures as necessary
- Define required data integration requirements between various systems and work with extended team to get them created
- Follow all documented architecture, design & deployment processes to ensure compliance with policies
- Partner with Global BI team to help implement solutions for end user adoption
- Keep pace with latest technology advances in SAP HANA
- Develop functional subject matter expertise within various areas of enterprise business processes
