About The Position

Moloco is seeking a Senior Data Scientist, Product Analytics - Creatives to join their team. This role is critical to ensuring that Moloco’s creative systems become a long-term competitive advantage. The individual will be the analytical and product thought partner for the Creatives team, owning the data narrative across ideation, launch, and iteration of creative features and strategies. This is not a support role; it is a co-owner of the creative roadmap. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience, with 6+ years of experience in data science, product analytics, or a closely related quantitative field. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of partnering with Product and Engineering, demonstrated ability to operate with high ownership and autonomy, and comfort working across time zones with distributed teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of experience (or PhD + 3 YoE) in data science, product analytics, or a closely related quantitative field, including significant time as a product-facing IC.
  • Proven track record of partnering with Product and Engineering to shape roadmaps, define success metrics, and drive decisions through data.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with high ownership and autonomy, including scoping ambiguous problems and driving them to closure.
  • Comfort working across time zones and with distributed teams, using strong async communication and documentation habits.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate or PhD degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics) or equivalent practical experience with 10+ years of experience in related fields.
  • Prior experience in ad tech, marketing science, or related domains where creatives, auctions, or optimization systems are central to performance.
  • Hands-on experience with creative analytics (e.g., format benchmarking, asset-level performance analysis, interaction or engagement modeling).
  • Experience collaborating closely with ML teams to design, evaluate, and iterate on model features and policies.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into simple, actionable narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Be recognized as a thought leader in the creative domain, someone whose perspective is actively sought when making high-stakes product calls.
  • Influence which creative problems we choose to solve, not just how we measure the outcomes.
  • Establish a trusted, repeatable framework for measuring creative impact that the organization rallies around.
  • Enable PM/ENG to ship creative features faster and with more confidence, backed by well-designed experiments and clear success criteria.
  • Reduce ad-hoc fire drills by building durable monitoring, diagnostics, and documentation that make creative performance and adoption more transparent.
