As a Senior Data Integration Developer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the data and integration landscape that supports Whataburger’s business operations and growth. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience in data integration, software development, or related roles
  • Experience with ETL tools such as DataStage and/or Informatica
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database platforms (e.g., MS SQL, Netezza)
  • Experience with data mapping, data modeling, and data warehouse design
  • Hands-on experience with cloud and modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure)
  • Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages
  • Experience working with middleware technologies (e.g., Java/J2EE, .NET, Spring, Hibernate)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing within Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data integration and modernization strategies
  • Experience in high-availability, enterprise-level systems
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices for data pipelines
  • Expertise in performance tuning for large-scale data environments
  • Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring team members
  • Background working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance middleware and data integration solutions
  • Build and maintain ETL processes supporting enterprise data pipelines and warehouses
  • Perform system architecture analysis, design, implementation, and performance tuning
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts
  • Lead and participate in code reviews to maintain development standards
  • Develop and execute testing strategies to ensure system reliability
  • Maintain and update technical and system documentation
  • Support system upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing operational requests
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
