About The Position

CGI is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Palantir Foundry to join a fast paced data engineering team supporting large scale, cloud based financial data platforms. In this role, you'll build and maintain data pipelines, develop ontology models, and create operational applications that support critical business workflows within an AWS centric environment. This position is required in one of the following locations: Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, Birmingham, AL Your future duties and responsibilities: You'll work closely with cross functional stakeholders to integrate enterprise data sources, build automated alerting and case management tools, and ensure data governance and compliance standards are met throughout the data lifecycle. This is a great opportunity for an experienced data engineer who enjoys hands on development work, thrives in Agile teams, and wants to apply Palantir Foundry expertise to meaningful, high impact projects in the financial services space.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands on data engineering experience, with a strong foundation in building and maintaining production grade data pipelines
  • 3+ years working directly in Palantir Foundry, including Pipeline Builder, Workshop, Code Repositories, and ontology modeling
  • Solid coding chops in Python, PySpark, and SQL — comfortable writing clean, efficient, production ready code
  • Experience connecting enterprise systems together using APIs, SFTP, and cloud native data services
  • Background building operational tools like workflow automation, alerting systems, or case management applications
  • Working knowledge of data governance, lineage tracking, security practices, and compliance requirements
  • Good communicator who's worked with business stakeholders and delivered in Agile/Scrum environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in financial services or fraud investigation
  • Familiarity with Palantir AIP, agentic workflows, or retrieval augmented generation (RAG) frameworks
