Senior Data Engineer – Vehicle Telematics Platform

General MotorsAustin, TX
$129,400 - $168,650Hybrid

About The Position

Millions of connected vehicles generate an endless stream of telemetry every day. That data powers connected services, software-defined vehicle capabilities, quality and warranty insights, EV experiences, product development, analytics, AI, and future vehicle innovation. None of that happens without a world-class data platform. We're looking for a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to help build, scale, and operate the telemetry platform that turns massive volumes of raw vehicle data into trusted, discoverable, production-grade data assets used across General Motors. This is a platform engineering role focused on building the pipelines, frameworks, quality controls, and observability capabilities that keep enterprise-scale telemetry data flowing reliably every day. If you enjoy building systems that process billions of events, solving distributed data challenges, and creating platforms that other teams depend on to do their jobs, you'll love this role.
