Job Introduction: Finance Enablers is a key team within Global Finance Technology, supporting the GRS Finance space and the IT platform behind crucial processes such as financial book close and analytical reporting. We support multi-dimensional data cubes encompassing 9TB and 4.4 billion rows of data, and over 950 end users. Collaborating closely with Product Owners and Business users, we create solutions that make financial data accessible and insightful for decision-makers across the organization. As we embark on our journey toward the organization's North Star Architecture — a complete modernization of our platform leveraging AWS, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Power BI, Erwin for data modeling, and IDMC for data governance — there's never been a more exciting time to join the team. If you're eager to be part of a transformative initiative that bridges a robust Microsoft-based platform with cutting-edge cloud technologies, consider joining Finance Enablers as we drive the next generation of financial data excellence! The Finance Enablers team is looking to add a dynamic Senior Data Engineer to the team. This candidate will play a critical role in both maintaining and modernizing GRS financial data and integrating it with broader Liberty Mutual platforms. Key skillsets include strong SQL expertise, experience with multi-dimensional data and technologies such as SSAS, SSRS, and SQL Server, cross-team collaboration, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective data solutions. Experience with AWS is highly preferred, as the team will be transitioning to a modernized tech stack including Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Power BI, Python, Erwin, and IDMC. The ideal candidate is well-rounded in Data Engineering concepts and comfortable working with both Microsoft SSAS and modern AWS platforms. Responsibilities will include supporting and optimizing existing multi-dimensional data cubes, collaborating with Product Owners and Business users to design and deliver solutions, and contributing to the platform's modernization under the North Star Architecture initiative. We are seeking a team member who is self-motivated, willing to learn and upskill as needed, and has a willingness to accept peer review and mentor others.
