About The Position
Intersog is partnering with a leading Canadian financial institution that is expanding its Core Data Platform team. They are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help deliver multiple high-impact initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, take ownership of projects, and contribute technical leadership from day one.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Data Engineering experience
- Strong production experience with Snowflake
- Strong production experience with dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud
- Strong production experience with Dagster or Airflow
- Strong production experience with Python
- Strong production experience with Advanced SQL
- Strong production experience with AWS and/or Azure
- Strong production experience with GitHub Actions
- Strong production experience with Terraform
Responsibilities
- Own data engineering projects end-to-end, ensuring quality and thorough documentation
- Communicate directly with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and proactively manage scope changes
- Work independently with minimal supervision while identifying blockers early and proposing solutions
- Provide technical guidance and influence architecture and design decisions
- Represent the engineering team professionally during stakeholder interactions
