About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer with expertise in Python, Snowflake, and AWS to architect, develop, and optimize scalable applications. This role involves owning and overseeing production support, leading technical discussions, mentoring developers, and driving best practices. The engineer will be responsible for developing ETL frameworks, designing and optimizing databases, deploying and managing cloud solutions on AWS, and implementing CI/CD pipelines, security best practices, and performance monitoring.

Requirements

• Proven ability to manage production support operations, including incident triage, escalation handling, and coordination with L1/L2 support teams
• 5 to 7 years of experience in Python backend development
• Expertise in Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and other DB tools
• Expertise in AWS services, Scalr, Terraform
• Experience with ETL frameworks and tools
• Experience with Kafka, event-driven architecture
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience working for the technology department of an Asset Management firm
• Experience in Loan Asset class and/or Private Placements

Responsibilities

• Own and oversee production support alongside dedicated L1/L2 teams — driving incident resolution, root cause analysis, and prioritizing BAU enhancements to improve system reliability
• Lead technical discussions, mentor developers, and drive best practices
• Develop ETL frameworks and tools
• Design and optimize databases (e.g., Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Deploy and manage cloud solutions on AWS (Lambda, Glue, S3, Airflow)
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, security best practices, and performance monitoring
