About The Position

Actifai is seeking experienced Senior Data Engineers to architect and build the next-generation cloud enterprise data platform. The Data Engineering team owns the data powering the company's SaaS application and data products, covering the entire data lifecycle from ingestion to governance. The role involves modernizing the data ecosystem into an enterprise-grade platform, creating the foundation for next-generation AI applications. Successful candidates should be strong engineers who enjoy taking ownership and solving complex technical problems.

Requirements

At least 5+ years experience building cloud-native data solutions, preferably on Google Cloud and/or Azure.
Experience with Orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
Experience with Storage solutions like Google Cloud Storage or Azure Blob Storage.
Experience with OLTP databases such as Postgres or Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience with Warehouses like BigQuery or Microsoft Fabric.
Proven ability in writing clean, scalable code.
Significant programming experience in Python.
Solid understanding of SQL.
Experience refactoring and upgrading in-place data systems to modern data engineering standards.
Comfortable working with messy real-world datasets.
An advocate of software development best practices focusing on engineering and operational excellence.
Ability to effectively communicate software engineering issues to business professionals, and business issues to software engineers.
Exceptional time management and organization skills.
Ability to incrementally deliver against tight schedules.
Experience planning and executing work modules that span several months.
An eye for detail in both data and design.
Degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent practical work experience.

Build and operate a big data platform that processes and refines data and enables efficient access to those data.
Architect and build the next-generation cloud enterprise data platform.
Own the data powering the SaaS application and data products.
Manage the whole data lifecycle including ingestion, storage, querying, data quality, operations, and governance.
Modernize the data ecosystem into an enterprise-grade platform.
Create the foundation for next-generation AI applications.
Deliver outsize impact within a small team.
Work with other senior engineers and collaborate professionally.
Deliver high-quality, scalable solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
