About The Position

Redica Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to take a hands-on role designing, building, and optimizing its core data platform. The role involves solving challenging technical problems, contributing to architectural decisions, establishing engineering best practices, and building scalable, high-quality data pipelines. The engineer may also mentor colleagues, participate in code reviews, and provide technical guidance as the team grows.

The role supports Redica’s regulatory and health agency data platform, which provides intelligence to life sciences organizations. It involves collaboration with Engineering and Product teams to turn requirements into practical technical solutions, and integration with downstream NLP/ML services and search technologies such as the ELK stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, and microservices for high-volume regulatory and health agency datasets.
• Troubleshoot data quality issues and implement automated testing, monitoring, and validation to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Contribute to technical design and architectural decisions, building scalable and maintainable solutions for the evolving data platform.
• Integrate data pipelines with downstream NLP/ML services and search technologies, including the ELK stack.
• Support production deployments, troubleshoot pipeline and database issues, and resolve complex technical incidents.
• Work with Engineering and Product teams to translate requirements into practical, well-designed technical solutions.
• Help shape engineering best practices, participate in code reviews, mentor fellow engineers, and provide technical guidance as the team grows.
