About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in Cloud Data Architecture, data warehousing, data modeling, ETL, and system engineering. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding and implementation experience of data warehouse and Enterprise Data architecture principles, particularly decentralized data architectures like Data Mesh. This role involves developing Cloud-based (AWS) data solutions, working with Cloud database platforms like Snowflake, and creating/maintaining end-to-end data pipelines. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with technical stakeholders, vendors, and business consumers. Proficiency in Unix, Linux, and shell scripting is required, as is experience with large, multi-terabyte enterprise data platforms in the Cloud. A clear understanding of system administration, database administration, storage architectures, backup & recovery, and networking is also necessary. Experience with Informatica (IICS) ETL, Snowflake Data Warehousing, and Airflow (Orchestration) is highly desirable. Familiarity with handling highly sensitive healthcare information and knowledge of HIPAA and other data privacy controls are crucial.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Data Architecture, data warehousing, data modeling, ETL, enterprise and business information system architectures, and system engineering.
• Thorough knowledge and implementation experience of data warehouse and Enterprise Data architecture principles, specifically Decentralized data architectures like Data Mesh.
• 3-5 years of experience developing Cloud-based (AWS) data solutions.
• 5+ years of Cloud database platform experience such as Snowflake.
• Experience in creating and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines.
• Strong communication skills comfortable explaining/proposing solutions to technical stakeholders, vendors, and business consumers.
• Proficiency with Unix, Linux, and shell scripting.
• Experience working with a large, multi-terabyte enterprise data platform in Cloud.
• Clear understanding on system administration, database administration, storage architectures, backup & recovery, and networking.
• 3-5 years of experience in Informatica (IICS) ETL, Snowflake Data Warehousing and Airflow (Orchestration) experience.
• Experience working with highly sensitive health care information and familiar with HIPAA and other data privacy controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based data solutions on AWS.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines.
