Client is building a global consumer neobank, merging banking, payments, and crypto into a single product. Our initial focus is emerging markets, where traditional banking and local currencies fail hundreds of millions of people. We will enable users all over the world to move their money seamlessly within our ecosystem. Company is built by a small group of highly experienced operators and engineers. We're a small, senior-only team, with no layers, politics, or slow decisions. We've built, founded, and owned services used by hundreds of millions of people and generating billions in revenue. Green is the next step and mass distribution is readily available via our day-one partners. Every person on the team ships product and shapes the direction of the company. The Role We're seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and own our data platform and infrastructure. You will design systems that power transaction processing, analytics, reporting, and real-time insights across our global financial product. You will work on high-integrity financial data systems, where correctness, auditability, and consistency are critical. Our backend is a Python (FastAPI) monolith supported by Lambda, Kinesis, Postgres, Redis on AWS. You will work closely with backend systems to ensure data is correctly captured, transformed, and exposed. You will design and build the systems that capture, process, and serve data across the platform, working closely with backend services and event streams. Parts of this are greenfield, where you will define architecture, data models, and pipeline design from first principles.

Requirements

5-10+ years building and shipping data pipelines and platforms
Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT, or event-driven systems
Experience generally across the backend: working with Postgres, Redis, AWS, etc.
