Senior Data Engineer - Platform Experience
About The Position
Intersog is partnering with a leading Canadian financial institution to hire a Senior Data Engineer with Platform Experience. This role will support the evolution of its Core Data Platform and requires deep platform engineering expertise and experience building enterprise-scale data platforms in regulated environments. The company is a Chicago-based provider of ROI-driven custom web and mobile development, specializing in delivery of full-service, end-to-end solutions and project resources to Fortune 500 companies, SMEs, and startups. They help clients achieve ambitious business goals, solve skills shortage issues, and innovate by building Dedicated Software Development Teams in Ukraine, Canada, and LatAm, providing on-demand IT project resources to complete required skills on their in-house teams. Requirements
- 7+ years of Data Engineering experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Enterprise Data Warehouse platforms and/or Data Mesh architectures
- Strong experience with Snowflake
- Strong experience with Snowflake UniStore
- Strong experience with dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud
- Strong experience with Dagster or Airflow
- Strong experience with Python
- Strong experience with Advanced SQL
- Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure
- Strong experience with GitHub Actions
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of data platform initiatives with full ownership of quality and documentation
- Partner directly with stakeholders to define requirements and proactively communicate scope or technical impacts
- Operate autonomously, escalating blockers with recommended solutions
- Drive technical decisions and mentor peers on platform design and engineering best practices
- Represent the engineering team confidently in cross-functional and stakeholder discussions
