About The Position

Join a high-impact, agile team as a Senior Data Engineer / Full Stack Engineer, designing and building innovative, cloud-native applications and next-generation backend services. You'll collaborate with a lean, expert team to deliver enterprise-scale data solutions, leveraging cutting-edge AWS and big data technologies. This contract offers a path to full-time employment for candidates with a four-year degree.

Requirements

10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
Deep expertise in application development and data engineering
Demonstrated proficiency with GraphQL and API development
Advanced AWS skills, including Lambda, ECS, and Glue
Strong experience with PySpark, Apache Spark, Snowflake, AWS Glue, and batch processing frameworks
Working knowledge of DynamoDB and PostgreSQL
Proven track record in cloud monitoring, observability, and providing production support
Bachelor’s degree required for full-time conversion

Responsibilities

Architect and develop robust cloud-native applications and backend services
Design and implement low-latency, enterprise-ready GraphQL APIs
Build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines utilizing AWS and big data tools
Apply monitoring and observability best practices to ensure system reliability and performance
Collaborate closely with two full-time engineers and contribute actively to a high-performing team
Deliver production-ready solutions with a strong focus on reliability and security
