About the position
As a Senior Data Engineer at MANTL, you will have the opportunity to join a small yet powerful team with a mission to deliver trusted data and intelligence to empower community banks and credit unions. The role involves developing an ecosystem of intelligence products that seamlessly integrate data across the entire customer experience layer. You will be responsible for managing large-scale production workloads on the Google Cloud stack, communicating effectively with teams, and writing detailed technical documentation. Additionally, proficiency in programming languages, experience with data warehouse architecture, and familiarity with GCP and other relevant tools are required. Responsibilities
- Manage large-scale production workloads on the Google Cloud stack
- Passionate about architecture, planning, test driven development, and platform stability
- Communicate effectively with teams and write detailed technical documentation
- Confidently communicate with business users and executive audiences
- Genuine passion for data engineering and experience with technical estimation and planning
- Seize growth opportunities and take ownership of significant data engineering surface area
- Proficiency in one compiled programming language (Python or Go)
- Experience developing and deploying services into a complex performance-sensitive environment
- Expert understanding of SQL and data warehouse architecture
- Familiarity with common design patterns in a microservice architecture
- Professional experience with GCP
- Production experience working with BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and DBT
- Understanding of event-driven architecture
- Advanced knowledge of Looker
