About The Position

Estrada Consulting, Inc. (ECI) is seeking an experienced Senior Data / Database Engineer – Integration & Middleware Engineer for a long-term W2 consulting engagement supporting a large-scale, mission-critical criminal justice information system environment. This is a senior hands-on technical position combining data engineering, database engineering, systems integration, middleware, data exchange, troubleshooting, and production support responsibilities. This is not a traditional database administration-only position. The successful candidate should have extensive experience supporting complex enterprise data environments in which information is received from numerous source systems, transmitted through middleware/message-broker technologies, processed through data queues and interfaces, consolidated within enterprise databases/data warehouses, and distributed to downstream applications and external systems. Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, courts, corrections, public safety, or comparable government information systems. The selected consultant will support the data, database, integration, and middleware components of an enterprise criminal-history reporting environment. The environment processes high-volume and near-real-time information received from multiple criminal-justice source systems, including arrest/booking, prosecution, court, disposition, probation, custody, warrant, and statewide criminal-history information. The consultant will maintain, troubleshoot, enhance, and support databases, data interfaces, middleware, message processing, data queues, batch processes, data-consolidation processes, and external system integrations.
