About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Data Consultant to join our team in Belgrade. In this role, you’ll apply your strong data analysis background and technical curiosity to support quality enhancements and complex projects for a leading research platform. You’ll work closely with Technology teams and customers, take ownership of meaningful project deliverables, and help translate business needs into actionable insights - while contributing to the ongoing development of Web of Science and the value it delivers to the global research community. Web of Science is a comprehensive research platform that provides access to scientific research, citation data, and authoritative publications across various disciplines. It is widely used by researchers, academics, and professionals to find and analyze scholarly articles, track citations, and explore research trends. You will be part of the consulting team, reporting directly to the Manager, Consulting.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including at least 3 years in data analysis, and 2 years of working with software and formats such as Excel, XML, MS Access, and other related systems
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
Proficient in English

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of writing and running SQL queries
Experience with technical project management tools and systems, such as Jira and Unix/Linux environments
Coding experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Java)
Proven experience collaborating effectively in a remote, multi‑stakeholder environment
Experience working on complex projects and processes with moderate oversight

Responsibilities

Collaborating with Technology to drive quality enhancement
Work with technology on data, software and quality enhancements for existing products
Contribute to the development of project strategies and methodologies by leveraging analytical insights, industry knowledge, and collaborative brainstorming to shape comprehensive strategies that align with project goals
Take ownership of specific project components and deliverables in complex projects
Interact directly with customers to understand requirements and translate them into actionable data analysis plans and present findings
Managing customer engagements and providing expertise to help customers identify business challenges
