About The Position

VIP is seeking a Senior Data Architect with expertise in dimensional modeling to design, implement, and optimize our enterprise data warehouse and analytics solutions. This role is instrumental in helping beverage distributors, suppliers, and retailers make data-driven decisions through scalable and high-performance data architectures. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who enjoys collaboration and innovation. Position Type: Full Time, Hybrid - will be required to report to our office in Colchester, VT.

Requirements

BS / MS in Computer Science or related field
Minimum of 5 years experience in information technology with increasing responsibility in understanding and designing complex and enhancing existing relational database systems.
Proven track record of successfully managing all stages of large-scale database projects.
Strong understanding of Kimball-style dimensional modeling, including fact and dimension table design, slowly changing dimensions (SCDs), star and snowflake schemas, and best practices for optimizing ETL processes in a data warehouse environment
Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
Strong ability to translate complex business needs into scalable data models.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to explain complicated concepts in simple terms
Excellent attention to detail
Experience with database management software

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of SQL Server, Snowflake and DB2 is a plus!

Develop systems to ensure data security
