About The Position

Our client is a boutique HEOR consulting firm known for its innovative approach and high-impact work, offering the agility of a small team with the prestige of a major industry player. They are seeking a Senior Data Analyst who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys out-of-the-box problem solving, and is eager to lead study design, dive into complex data structures, and help build out new data platforms. In this hands-on role, the analyst will be the architect of the data journey, dedicating at least 50% of their time to programming and data manipulation. The position involves transforming raw US databases into sophisticated analytical datasets to drive healthcare decision-making for global pharmaceutical leaders. This is a hands-on role where you will be deeply involved in the technical how-to of each project.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an HEOR consulting firm
  • Deep familiarity with US administrative claims and EMR/EHR data
  • Expert-level proficiency in SAS and/or R
  • A Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in HEOR consulting
  • Meticulous eye for code auditing
  • Natural ability to mentor junior staff

Responsibilities

  • Lead study design
  • Dive into complex data structures
  • Help build out new data platforms

  • Build analytical datasets from the ground up
  • Get into the weeds with patient selection, programming attrition counts
  • Work extensively with ICD-10, NDC, and CPT codes
  • Conduct Treatment Pattern Analysis
  • Analyze Clinical Outcomes
  • Perform Healthcare Resource Utilization (HCRU) and Cost analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design HEOR studies
  • Write Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs)
  • Ensure the methodology is airtight
  • Act as a lead resource for junior staff
  • Provide hands-on guidance on statistical methods
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure programming best practices in SAS and R
  • Translate complex statistical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for pharmaceutical leaders
  • Tell the story of the data
