Senior Data Analyst

BMOToronto, ON

About The Position

This is an opportunity to join a data-driven team at the core of commercial credit risk, where high-quality data, strong analytics, and collaboration directly support how the Bank understands risk, meets regulatory expectations, and makes lending decisions. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be part of a team that serves as the backbone for commercial credit risk data. The role is fundamentally data-centric, with a primary focus on working with large datasets, building and maintaining ETL pipelines, and ensuring data accurately reflects underlying business processes. Your work will help ensure that credit risk systems, ratings, and reporting are reliable, well-governed, and aligned with how the business actually operates. You will spend the majority of your time analyzing data at the source-writing SQL queries, identifying root causes of data issues, and partnering with stakeholders to resolve them. Just as important, you’ll help bridge the gap between data and business, bringing clarity to how commercial lending products work and how changes in processes or systems should be reflected in data flows. This role offers exposure to commercial lending, credit risk concepts, and regulatory considerations, within a collaborative team that values clear communication, practical problem-solving, and continuous improvement. It is ideal for someone who is strong with data, curious about banking and risk, and motivated to see their work have real downstream impact. The role is based in downtown Toronto (250 Yonge) and operates in a hybrid model (3 days in office). If you’re looking for your next dream job, consider this one in BMO’s Enterprise Risk Group where every colleague helps protect and grow the bank by providing independent review and oversight of enterprise-wide risks, working together to maintain a risk management framework and fostering a strong risk culture. #ERPMDreamJobs
