About The Position

Our client is a Global Financial Services Firm located in NYC. Our client is seeking a hands-on technology associate to work in a team of security, server, network and development professionals driving a multi-year effort to consolidate, standardize, re-engineer, and then oversee the firms external demilitarized zones (DMZs), secure enclaves, and the infrastructure supporting them. This position will work with technical engineering and operations teams around the globe to develop reporting for systems within the firm's secure enclaves and DMZs.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience with data aggregation and visualization technologies such as Splunk, Elastic, etc.
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise data management, data quality principles and methodologies.
• Proficient in modern scripting languages such as Python, Perl, bash, PowerShell, SQL.
• Experience with data analysis and manipulation using Excel and/or VBA.
• Able to communicate technical content to a technical audience over email, voice and video.
• Attention to detail with good problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, self-directed, team player with a desire to always learn more.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with infrastructure concepts and log aggregation at an enterprise scale preferred.
• Financial services or consulting experience preferred.
• Security-related certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with other global technology teams to identify and consume reference and telemetry data related to systems which either reside in or affect the firm's secure enclaves.
• Develop reports and dashboards to provide insights for individual technology managers, governance board(s), and senior leadership.
• Act as a business analyst to understand requirements for reporting.
• Perform root cause analysis on any data issues and suggest solutions.
• Identify additional platforms or tools, as necessary.
