About The Position

The Senior Data Analyst will use advanced data management, analysis, and visualization techniques to support business decision-making across multiple domains. The role identifies appropriate data sources, assesses and improves data quality, and applies analytical methods to complex business challenges. The analyst works with stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable insights, develop data-driven strategies, and communicate findings. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools, primarily Power BI, is essential. The role is part of Walmart Transportation’s Inbound Operational Analytics team, which combines operational expertise, analytics, data engineering, continuous improvement, and AI to turn transportation data into actionable insights. The team aims to improve service, reduce costs, increase visibility, and enable faster, data-driven decisions across Walmart’s inbound supply chain.

Requirements

Proven expertise in data analysis, data management, and data cleansing, with strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
Experience identifying and sourcing data from multiple business domains and ensuring data quality and relevance for decision-making.
Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques to communicate complex insights effectively to stakeholders.
Ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions aligned with organizational strategy.
Familiarity with data quality management frameworks, data governance, and enterprise data architecture principles.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills to support cross-functional collaboration and project success.
Experience with exploratory data analysis and statistical techniques to uncover trends and inform business recommendations.
One of the following minimum qualification paths: a bachelor's degree in a listed or related field and 2 years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or a related field; a master's degree in a listed or related field; or 4 years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or a related field.
