About The Position

This role supports the CFO and Finance organization on complex analytical problems at Fivetran. It sits at the intersection of finance, data, and applied mathematics, focusing on understanding, forecasting, and modeling the economic engine of the business. The position involves developing sophisticated models for revenue attribution, forecasting, customer behavior, and financial performance, building underlying data infrastructure for company-wide reporting, and partnering directly with Finance and executive leadership on business-shaping decisions. This is a highly quantitative role requiring exceptional numerical intuition, rigorous logical thinking, and a high bar for accuracy, suitable for individuals who enjoy decomposing ambiguous business problems into precise mathematical frameworks and building foundational models.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in analytics, data science, business intelligence, or a related analytical role.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modeling, with experience working across large, complex datasets.
Exceptional quantitative ability and numerical intuition, with a strong foundation in mathematics, logic, statistics, and analytical problem-solving.
Experience using Looker, Tableau, Sigma, or similar business intelligence and visualization tools.
Strong analytical judgment and a track record of translating ambiguous business questions into structured analyses and actionable recommendations.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high bar for data quality, analytical rigor, and reproducibility.
Excellent communication and data storytelling skills; ability to make complex findings intuitive and guide decision-makers.
Comfort operating in ambiguity, developing hypotheses, and owning analytical problems end-to-end.
Strong cross-functional instincts and ability to build trusted relationships with technical and non-technical partners.
A builder mindset: creating frameworks, datasets, and tools for future decisions.
Passion for using data to improve how organizations attract, develop, and support their people.
Experience using analytics to support key business decisions, preferably at a high-growth, SaaS, or B2B product company.

Responsibilities

Develop sophisticated revenue models, including projections, attribution, analysis, and understanding of Fivetran’s revenue, customers, and business drivers.
Own revenue attribution and financial logic, designing frameworks that connect revenue to customers, products, contracts, usage, and other business dimensions.
Build and improve revenue forecasting models using historical trends, leading indicators, statistical methods, and machine learning, continuously evaluating and improving forecast accuracy.
Build scalable analytical infrastructure, creating reliable, optimized, and scalable data models, pipelines, and automated systems.
Maintain an exceptionally high bar for quality through rigorous validation, testing, and quality-assurance processes for financial data and analytical models.
Partner closely with Finance leadership to translate business questions into analytical frameworks, define business rules, establish metrics and targets, and communicate findings.
Drive executive-level decision making through high-impact, in-depth analyses informing company strategy, financial planning, resource allocation, and growth initiatives.
Embody ownership and operational excellence, taking responsibility for work correctness and reliability, and continuously improving systems and methodologies.
