About The Position

The analytics team’s mission is to empower Cityblock with trustworthy data insights, intuitive and reliable tools, and deep data domain expertise in support of our mission to radically improve the health of marginalized communities at scale. The Senior Data Analyst in this role should have a strong sense of curiosity, a propensity towards action, and a desire to work in agile teams. In this role, you should feel comfortable working with and advising experienced business executives, technical stakeholders, engineers, product managers, and clinical teams. This analyst will act as a technical mentor and leader across the analytics team to assist with code reviews, question design, and stakeholder management. In this position, you will support leaders to drive clinical and operational analytics and design data models with data engineers. Additionally, you will build new data-based tools to solve complex operational problems, leveraging Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and conversational analytics to automate insights and enhance natural language data querying capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, healthcare informatics, statistics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience using SQL in production environments (BigQuery preferred), with fluency in writing performant, maintainable queries and a strong understanding of data modeling, testing, and analytics best practices
  • 3 years of experience in presenting data-driven analyses, insights, and recommendations to senior executives and large groups
  • 2 years experience supporting teams including designing and analyzing statistically valid experiments
  • 3 years of team-based analytics work experience with cross-functional stakeholders
  • A high degree of proficiency with at least one BI tool (Looker preferred), including experience with visualization best practices
  • 1+ years of experience applying Generative AI, LLMs, or conversational analytics frameworks to real-world data analysis workflows or unstructured data processing.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders across operations, product, and clinical teams to transform data into strategy and business needs into analytics solutions
  • Own and grow dbt-based infrastructure to support operational workflows while utilizing development best practices
  • Design and analyze experiments (A/B and multivariate) to measure effectiveness
  • Improve attribution logic using best practices in analytics
  • Build compelling visualizations and dashboards to support decision-making
  • Collaborate with other data analysts on shared infrastructure and cross-functional deliverables
  • Leverage Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and prompt engineering to build conversational analytics tools, automate insights, and enhance natural language data querying capabilities.
