About The Position

Equifax is seeking an experienced, senior individual contributor to join their security team, reporting directly to the Deputy CISO. This role supports Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), Security Operations Center (SOC), network security, and proactive security functions. The ideal candidate is a versatile cybersecurity professional, ready to support any area requiring immediate assistance while focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and intelligence generation. This position is based in Alpharetta, Georgia, with a hybrid work schedule: 4 days of in-office collaboration (Monday-Thursday) and remote flexibility on Fridays. The role does not offer immigration sponsorship and is not open to third-party vendors or C2C. In-person interviews are required.

Requirements

  • 5+ or more years of cybersecurity experience.
  • Real depth in at least three of the following: CTI, SOC operations, network security, or proactive security (red team, application testing, TVM).
  • Comfort with high autonomy and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to move between strategic improvement work and hands-on execution without losing momentum.
  • Strong working knowledge of SIEM, EDR, and network monitoring tools.
  • Deep familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework and vulnerability management practices.
  • Hands-on experience with AI and large language model (LLM)-based tools, and a clear point of view on applying them operationally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • CISSP, GCTI, GCIH, OSCP, CEH, or an equivalent certification.
  • Scripting or automation experience (Python, PowerShell, or similar).
  • Cloud security experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Prior experience in a roaming or cross-functional senior security role — a fusion analyst, security operations improvement lead, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance SOC, CTI, network security, and proactive security workflows by refining processes, tooling, and automation.
  • Provide an independent, cross-functional view of the Security Operations Program's performance and future direction.
  • Elevate the production, enrichment, and delivery of threat intelligence to be faster and more actionable.
  • Analyze threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures, track indicators of compromise, and strengthen intelligence flow.
  • Jump into triage, investigation, and response during SOC operations surges or major incidents, and support root cause analysis.
  • Support network architecture reviews, segmentation assessments, and investigations into anomalous activity during crunches or audits.
  • Contribute to red team engagements, perform application security testing, and support threat and vulnerability management (TVM) surges.
  • Pilot AI-powered tools and agentic tools to reduce manual workload.
  • Build AI-assisted playbooks for triage and reporting.
  • Provide leadership with a clear point of view on where AI can advance the program.
