About The Position

Sigma Defense is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to provide advanced technical and analytical cybersecurity support across the full spectrum of a US Navy Above Water Sensors and Lasers programs. This role supports full acquisition lifecycle activities, including systems under development, systems in production, and fielded systems undergoing upgrades. The specialist ensures the protection, resilience, and compliance of Navy combat systems, networks, and information systems in accordance with DoW, DON, NAVSEA, and PEO IWS cybersecurity policies, standards, and processes. This position plays a key role in the development, assessment, and maintenance of cybersecurity architecture, cyber engineering artifacts, cybersecurity performance metrics, RMF authorization packages, and enclave-level cyber strategies supporting system certification requirements. The specialist provides engineering expertise, risk and vulnerability assessments, STIG execution, cybersecurity test strategy support, and technical leadership in virtualized cyber test environments supporting Integrated Combat Systems (ICS). This is a contingent position that is pending award of contract. This means that the position is subject to the successful awarding of a contract and will be confirmed once the contract is finalized. The candidate selected for this role will be offered the position on the condition that the contract is awarded to our organization.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • A) a high school degree, or a GED, and 10 years of relevant Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys and/or Laser cybersecurity, information assurance, or Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience.
  • B) a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5 years of relevant Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys and/or Laser cybersecurity, information assurance, or Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience.
  • C) a master's degree in a relevant field and 3 years of relevant Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys and/or Laser cybersecurity, information assurance, or Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience.
  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance. Clearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.
