The Cyber Security Incident Handler investigates, coordinates, and resolves cybersecurity incidents across the enterprise. The role handles alert triage, investigative planning and hypothesis development, evidence collection, host analysis, containment, eradication, recovery support, documentation, and escalation based on risk and business impact. The position also improves the repeatability and scalability of response operations by turning manual or error-prone processes into documented workflows, automations, integrations, and reusable investigative tools. The role develops or maintains Python-based utilities, parsers, dashboards, and command-line tools; builds GitHub Actions and CI/CD workflows; and manages security capabilities using Terraform, GitOps, source control, and peer-reviewed deployment practices. It supports integrations with threat-intelligence and collaboration platforms such as MISP, Slack, GitHub, Confluence, and Sguil. The role is categorized as hybrid. The selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least three times per week, or at another frequency directed by their manager. GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role. Relocation benefits are available to candidates who qualify under company policy.
