Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (TS SCI)
About The Position
HOW A CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT : Architects, plans, configures, deploys, maintains, and upgrades COTS/GOTS and custom toolsets to address vulnerabilities and/or implement security controls. Applies a combination of expert engineering knowledge of enterprise IT and security solutions to design, develop and/or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture security policies and support full spectrum military cyberspace operations. Designs, tests, and implements secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, tuning and management of IT security systems and applications, incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions. Includes security control design and solution planning at the system, mission, and enterprise level, security-in-depth/defense-in-depth, and other related IAM/ISSO/ISSE support functions. Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access. Researches and evaluates cyber capabilities and new security tools and products against operational requirements and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy, and to support the offensive and defensive capability design and troubleshoot and problem solve technical and non-technical issues. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Required Education and Experience: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Bachelor’s Degree + 14 years of experience Certification: 8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III certification. Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph Required Skills: A minimum of five years of experience leading DoW and IC risk management activities, including implementation of DoW and IC RMFs. A minimum of five years of experience leading Cybersecurity teams in a similar environment. A minimum of three years of experience implementing corrections actions, bug fixes, implementing patches, or other remediation activity. A minimum of three years of experience developing, implementing, and actioning POA&M. Knowledge of providing executive-level technical briefings and presentations to senior personnel in an IC/DoW organization.
Requirements
- Technical Training, Certification(s) or Bachelor’s Degree + 14 years of experience
- 8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III certification.
- TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph
- A minimum of five years of experience leading DoW and IC risk management activities, including implementation of DoW and IC RMFs.
- A minimum of five years of experience leading Cybersecurity teams in a similar environment.
- A minimum of three years of experience implementing corrections actions, bug fixes, implementing patches, or other remediation activity.
- A minimum of three years of experience developing, implementing, and actioning POA&M.
- Knowledge of providing executive-level technical briefings and presentations to senior personnel in an IC/DoW organization.
Nice To Haves
- One or more Cybersecurity related technology certifications or related technical training.
- A minimum of two years of experience relating to Cybersecurity for Cloud or Hybrid Cloud environment.
- One or more ITIL certifications.
- Experience with implementation of DoW RMFs.
- IASAE certification.
