About The Position

The Senior Cybersecurity AI Architect is responsible for designing secure, scalable, and compliant AI cybersecurity solutions across IT and OT environments while pioneering the integration of AI‑driven defense capabilities. This architect translates emerging AI technologies into practical enterprise solutions, defines long-term security roadmaps, and acts as a trusted partner to business units, engineering teams, and executive leadership. The role ensures architectural consistency, leads threat modeling efforts, evaluates emerging technologies, and advocates for a strong security posture throughout the organization. It also includes mentoring and influencing technical peers and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years in technology design or architecture, including 5+ years in AI/automation technologies.
  • Experience with AI/ML in security contexts, including agentic AI and autonomous tooling.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as utilities, finance, or healthcare.
  • Extensive experience mentoring teams and influencing technical direction.
  • Experience working with outsourced teams.
  • Strong knowledge across multiple cybersecurity domains: cloud security, identity, network security, detection/response, vulnerability management, OT security.
  • Expertise in AI/ML security, adversarial ML, AI governance frameworks, and AI‑native tooling.
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT/OT environments, smart grid technologies, and energy‑sector regulations.
  • Strong communication and writing ability with demonstrated executive‑level influence.
  • Ability to design reference architectures and API‑based services layers.
  • Knowledge of NIST, FISMA, ISO27001, OWASP, and other security frameworks.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition to employment in this position.

  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, OSCP, and relevant cloud or vendor‑specific certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the AI security architecture roadmap to support enterprise risk and business objectives.
  • Design AI‑augmented capabilities for detection, autonomous response, SOC workflows, and vulnerability management.
  • Establish architecture standards, patterns, and guardrails for AI tool integration across cybersecurity domains.
  • Evaluate and pilot emerging AI/ML, agentic AI, and autonomous security technologies.
  • Translate adversarial AI and threat intelligence into architectural decisions.
  • Serve as AI security subject matter expert for both offensive and defensive applications.
  • Act as a technical advisor to senior and executive leadership regarding cybersecurity and AI security capabilities.
  • Mentor security engineers and guide cross‑functional teams through complex AI initiatives.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity Architecture, engineering, operations, internal audit, compliance, CSO, regulators, and business units.
  • Understand business unit needs and align solutions to business outcomes using strong financial and technical acumen.
  • Monitor AI cybersecurity and technology trends and recommend corresponding updates to enterprise AI security posture.
  • Identify problems, risks, and opportunities proactively, focusing on forward‑looking solutions.
  • Develop and maintain multi‑year capability and AI technology roadmaps with advanced and emerging solutions.
