About The Position

Nightwing provides technically advanced full-spectrum cyber, data operations, systems integration and intelligence mission support services. The CODEX (Cyber Offense and Defense Experts) division is an elite team focused on overcoming advanced technical challenges, including vulnerability research, reverse engineering, CNO/CNE development, hardware emulation, system engineering, and data analytics. Engineers in CODEX support challenging, meaningful work vital to national security, with opportunities for career advancement through mentorship and training. This Senior Cyber Test Engineer role within CODEX is for a high-visibility CNO development team. The engineer will directly impact customer needs and mission by verifying product consistency and quality throughout the development process. Responsibilities include engaging with internal and customer stakeholders to derive system requirements, understanding customer tools, systems, and frameworks to build real-world test environments and create test plans, and developing and maintaining custom test frameworks and thorough documentation. The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and delivering exceptional results for clients.

Requirements

TS/SCI Clearance is required
5 years test engineering or related experience
3 year of experience developing in Python, Bash, or similar scripting language
3 year of experience working on Linux/Unix systems
Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking, architecture, and core technologies (such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, Routing, VPN)
Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to interface with customers, end-users, technical leads, and program management
Requires a degree in a technical discipline

Nice To Haves

A technical background in networking
Familiarity with Agile mindset and methodologies
Experience building test automation frameworks
Experience designing, writing, reviewing, and executing test plans, procedures, reports, and other technical documentation
Ability to think abstractly and drive toward defined requirements and testing strategies
Experience using virtualization technologies such as Docker
