About The Position

Nightwing provides technically advanced full-spectrum cyber, data operations, systems integration, and intelligence mission support services. The CODEX (Cyber Offense and Defense Experts) division is an elite team focused on overcoming advanced technical challenges in areas like vulnerability research, reverse engineering, CNO/CNE development, hardware emulation, system engineering, and data analytics. As a Senior Cyber Test Engineer within CODEX, you will directly impact customer missions by ensuring product consistency and quality throughout the development process. This involves engaging with stakeholders to define system requirements, understanding customer tools and frameworks, building real-world test environments, creating test plans, developing and maintaining custom test frameworks, and generating comprehensive documentation. Nightwing, an independent company since 2024, supports critical national security initiatives.

Requirements

TS/SCI Clearance is required
5 years test engineering or related experience
3 year of experience developing in Python, Bash, or similar scripting language
3 year of experience working on Linux/Unix systems
Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking, architecture, and core technologies (such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, Routing, VPN)
Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to interface with customers, end-users, technical leads, and program management
Requires a degree in a technical discipline

Nice To Haves

Experience building test automation frameworks
Experience designing, writing, reviewing, and executing test plans, procedures, reports, and other technical documentation
Familiarity with Agile mindset and methodologies
Ability to think abstractly and drive toward defined requirements and testing strategies
Experience using virtualization technologies such as Docker

Responsibilities

Verify the consistency and quality of products
Be actively involved throughout the entire development process
Engage with internal and customer stakeholders to derive system requirements and react to mission needs
Develop a deep understanding of the tools, systems, and frameworks used by the customer, and how to effectively integrate them with various technologies to build a real-world test environment and create a test plan
Utilize technical skills to build and maintain custom test frameworks
Generate thorough documentation
