About The Position
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Springfield, VA. In this role, you will play a vital part in protecting mission-critical systems by identifying, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats in a dynamic and fast-paced operational environment. You will provide hands-on technical support, incident response leadership, and advanced analytical capabilities to ensure continuous mission success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years of additional cyber experience in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years of cyber security experience in incident response and/or malware detection
- Active IAT Level II certification (such as GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security)
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Working knowledge of current COTS Cybersecurity technologies and familiarity with database and operating system security concepts
- Understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
- An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
Nice To Haves
- Active CNDSP-IR certification (such as GCIH, CSIH, or CEH)
- Experience working within a Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) environment
- Experience with COTS technologies used in Cybersecurity Engineering environments
Responsibilities
- Providing leadership and advanced Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) support, managing cyber and network sensor activities
- Performing security event and incident correlation using information gathered from multiple enterprise sources
- Conducting cyber incident triage to determine scope, urgency, and potential impact while identifying vulnerabilities and recommending timely remediation
- Tracking cyber incidents from initial detection through final resolution and analyzing potential damage to data and infrastructure
- Performing cyber engineering trend analysis, producing detailed reports, and supporting 24x7 mission operations
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous monitoring and response readiness
