About The Position

Forcepoint is seeking a full-time Senior Cyber Engineer to facilitate installation, configuration, integration, and training of our COTS cyber products. This individual must be highly motivated, have great interpersonal skills, and be a quick learner. The successful candidate will receive specialized training and is expected to develop deep proficiency across complex enterprise software deployments.

Requirements

  • BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or related field with 5-8 years of cyber security experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of DLP, CASB, SSE, DSPM, and network security.
  • Proficient Windows / macOS / Linux/Unix administration including software distribution techniques.
  • Solid understanding of security design, Active Directory/LDAP/IDP, computer virtualization, and cloud architecture (Azure/AWS/GCP).
  • Network architecture, routing/switching, VPNs, firewall configuration, proxy technologies, and traffic analysis.
  • Must coordinate collaboratively with customers and across multiple internal departments.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex installation or application errors; must work and collaborate remotely.
  • Operates as an emerging senior contributor; independently manages complex deployments and begins serving as an informal technical resource for less experienced team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of the Forcepoint product portfolio.
  • Python, shell scripting, SQL, XML; REST API development and integration experience (SIEM connectors, ticketing, SOAR).
  • Familiarity with SOAR tools such as Splunk SOAR or Palo Alto XSOAR.
  • CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent security certification preferred.
  • Cloud certification at associate or professional level (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and its application to DLP/SSE use cases.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering, installation, configuration, integration, and training of Forcepoint COTS cyber products.
  • Provide training, troubleshooting, and on-site support to customers including version upgrades.
  • Independently prepare technical documentation including as-built designs, requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provide technical briefings to customer and Forcepoint leadership as required.
  • Collaborate with account executives to support technical validation, PoC engagements, and customer expansion; identify upsell or adoption opportunities during post-deployment engagements.
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot REST API integrations connecting Forcepoint products to customer ecosystem tools (SIEMs, SOAR platforms, ServiceNow, Jira); develop scripts to automate workflows.
  • Serve as a feedback channel between customers and the Forcepoint product organization; document product gaps, feature requests, and deployment patterns through formal escalation channels.
