About The Position

This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining the store's appearance. The associate will engage with customers, handle money, and contribute to the store's operational efficiency. Cross-training will be provided for growth and productivity.

Requirements

  • Professional etiquette.
  • Ability to process register transactions, handle money, and count down a drawer.
  • Ability to achieve 40% Round-Up transaction average every month.
  • Ability to greet every customer 5 feet from you.
  • Ability to focus on your customer.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, neat, and organized store.

  • Ability to thank your customer for supporting our free job training and education initiatives.
  • Ability to listen and respond appropriately to all customer concerns.
  • Ability to engage customers at the register.

  • Ability to use good phone etiquette and answer within 3 rings.
  • Ability to provide short, clear, timely announcements.
  • Ability to stock and maintain sales floor with newly processed merchandise.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized sales floor by recovering standards through sizing of merchandise and organization of wares and furniture.
  • Ability to maintain sales floor by recovering sales floor and dressing rooms.
  • Ability to establish or identify prices of goods via the type of merchandise, identifying markings, or asking for help from an on-site manager or supervisor.
  • Ability to utilize systems, including phones and paging systems and make regularly scheduled announcements.
  • Ability to maintain interior and exterior of store in a neat, clean, and orderly manner (includes vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, mopping floors, washing windows, etc.).
  • Ability to maintain a clean and neat personal appearance at all times.
  • Must wear company issued uniform.
  • Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Goodwill policies and safety procedures.
  • Process register transactions, handle money, and count down a drawer.
  • Engage customers using specific steps including greeting, focusing on the customer, maintaining a clean store, walking, talking, showing, thanking customers, listening and responding to concerns, managing the register line, and using good phone etiquette.
  • Provide short, clear, timely announcements.
  • Stock and maintain the sales floor with processed merchandise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor by recovering standards through sizing merchandise and organizing wares and furniture.
  • Establish or identify prices of goods.
  • Utilize systems, including phones and paging systems.
  • Maintain the interior and exterior of the store in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
  • Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance and wear company-issued uniform.
  • Attend regularly.
  • Perform other essential duties as assigned.
  • Receive cross-training as Donation-Utility Associate and Barcoder.
  • Train to complete opening and closing procedures.
