About The Position

The Senior Customer Program Manager is responsible for managing customer requests, commitments, documentation, schedules, and action items across complex technical programs. This role serves as a key interface between customers and internal engineering, operations, project management, and legal teams. This position requires access to export-controlled information. Employment is contingent upon the applicant being a U.S. person as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in program management.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to understand technical and contractual documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, legal, and executive teams.
  • Experience with project scheduling and action-tracking tools.
  • U.S. person as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in photonics, lasers, optics, or quantum.
  • Technical or engineering background.
  • Experience managing complex hardware development programs.
  • Creative, flexible, and eager to wear multiple hats.
  • Passionate about building systems from the ground up and comfortable with ambiguity and change.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize customer requests, requirements, and commitments.
  • Organize and maintain customer-provided documentation, specifications, contracts, and program information.
  • Develop and maintain the high-level program schedule, including key milestones and deliverables.
  • Review contractual documents and work with in-house legal counsel to understand and appropriately apply contractual requirements.
  • Maintain a customer-facing action tracker, including owners, due dates, and status.
  • Drive cross-functional teams to close customer and internal action items on time.
  • Identify schedule, scope, contractual, and execution risks and escalate as appropriate.
  • Coordinate customer meetings, document decisions, and communicate program status.
  • Ensure customer expectations and commitments are clearly understood across the organization.
