About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Commercial Operations, the Senior Quality Advisor is responsible for the field implementation and ongoing operation of the diluent blend program. This critical role is the central focal position for the blend program, applying daily rigor to all aspects of the program, it requires strong technical knowledge and proactive interaction with other departments. This position is located in Lloydminster and requires the successful candidate to live in the area.

Requirements

Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Bachelor’s degree or relevant technical certification.
Minimum 8 years of experience in the crude oil industry.
Maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines.
A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.

Responsibilities

Ensure the quality program is operating as designed, including blend program compliance, performance monitoring, equipment operation and data acquisition.
Review results of every outgoing batch daily and investigate the cause of any non-conformance.
Undertake routine and ad hoc analysis related to issues and optimization.
Ensure manual sampling and lab testing is conducted, the results align with online readings and working with Operations and Maintenance, ensure required changes are reflected in online set points, alarms and equipment calibration.
Build and modify various product quality specifications and develop product quality KPIs for monthly reporting.
Create product sampling, retention and management program.
Enhance work stream interfaces with internal departments, consulting with internal departments on changes to quality data systems.
Escalate non-conformance issues and proactively assist in resolving.
Assist with resolving third-party facility non-conformances.
Apply continuous improvement practices to the program.
