JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Crude Oil Marketing Accountant, while working under limited supervision, is responsible for conducting and documenting complex downstream marketing accounting tasks and projects. The role analyzes, records, and reviews accounting transactions related to downstream crude marketing functions, settles monthly transactions with external counterparties, and supports the business with sound recommendations. Collaborates with Marketing, Revenue Accounting, and multiple other internal and external counterparties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required; Accounting preferred.
- 5+ years of related industry experience in Accounting; Marketing and Revenue experience preferred.
- SAP/Allegro/Horizon experience preferred
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, tasks, and deadlines
- Microsoft 365 skills

Responsibilities
- Validates and actualizes crude marketing transactions
- Facilitates monthly crude marketing settlements with external counterparties
- Supports calculation of intercompany pricing and eliminations
- Identifies, diagnoses, and recommends solutions for complex issues that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the department
- Continues to develop a broader understanding of the downstream marketing environment
- Demonstrates initiative in seeking additional responsibility and gaining knowledge beyond core responsibilities
