This role is responsible for assessing the financial position of special loans through cash flow projection, asset valuation, credit histories, and other financial measures. The Senior Credit Manager will prepare recommendations for credit restructuring, identify opportunities for additional assets to recover loans, and develop unique restructuring options. They will authorize legal actions for recovering classified loans, monitor their resolution, and take steps to recover assets or negotiate settlements to minimize losses. The role involves interacting with internal and external contacts to acquire industry knowledge, potentially providing oversight and coaching to less senior staff, and working closely with business origination on the risk aspects of new transactions. Additionally, the Senior Credit Manager will oversee and prepare risk ratings, monitor business and financial performance, and provide effective challenge to product partners to ensure decisions align with Risk Appetite. This position requires adherence to enterprise frameworks, ensuring programs and policies are managed effectively, and maintaining compliance with internal and external requirements. The role also involves conducting research, supporting presentations, analyzing functional or enterprise-level data, and implementing process improvements. Relationship management within and across business lines is crucial, as is staying abreast of emerging issues and regulatory requirements. A culture of risk management and control is to be maintained.
