About The Position

The Senior Credit Analyst underwrites and analyzes complex and larger commercial and agricultural credit exposures with limited supervision. The role supports Commercial and Ag Lenders, Loan Committees, Management, and bank clients by assessing borrowers’ ability to service debt, recommending appropriate loan structures, and helping maintain a safe and sound financial institution. The analyst works with complex guarantors and evaluates global cash flows and other areas of risk beyond the borrower’s immediate credit request. The role also provides technical assistance to lending staff and ensures that annual reviews and new approvals contain current, sufficient financial information for internal credit decisions, external loan reviews, and examiner reviews, while confirming that loan risk ratings accurately reflect credit risk. The position requires advanced credit analysis, including interpreting tax returns with multiple pass-through entities, summarizing lengthy lease agreements, and analyzing financial statements using UCA cash flow, fixed charge coverage ratios, and other advanced methods. The analyst communicates with lenders and borrowers to obtain meaningful information, identifies risks and mitigants, and presents findings effectively to support loan decisions. The Credit Department seeks to minimize loan losses, build a quality loan portfolio, and help customers succeed.
