About The Position

The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for the written analysis and underwriting of the credit worthiness of new loan proposals as well as existing loans, identifying credit policy exceptions and other credit issues in order to identify and protect the asset quality of the Bank’s commercial loans. This role supports the Bank’s “People First” focus and rules of engagement—maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB “A Better Place to Be”.

Requirements

• Strong “People First” interest and ability.
• Knowledge of relevant Federal and State banking regulations.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and credit concepts.
• Credit training.
• C&I credit experience.
• Basic knowledge of loan types and loan structures.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of the nCino platform is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare credit analyses for loan requests including financial statement analysis, collateral analysis (including third party reports), risk rating recommendations, trend analysis, and identifying the proposed credit’s strengths and weaknesses.
• Prepare written recommendations as to whether proposed loans should be approved as presented; or provide alternate loan structure recommendations as appropriate.
• Prepare financial statement spreadsheets which include a measurement of various financial ratio trends to evaluate financial status.
• Assist the Commercial Loan Officers and Portfolio Managers with the completion of annual loan reviews, as required.
• Mentor and guide Credit Analysts and Junior Credit Analysts.
• Assist in the annual financial statement follow-up to borrowers; track and monitor the Bank’s receipt of this information.
• Order flood search as appropriate.
