About The Position
The University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking a Sr. Counseling Clinician for its Counseling Services department. This role involves providing culturally competent clinical services, including triage assessments, intake evaluations, diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, grief counseling (individual, couples, and group psychotherapy), and making community referrals for mental health and/or psychiatric treatment.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Psychology or a closely related field
- 2 years of experience in an occupation involving provision of clinical psychotherapy
- Possession of a Psychology License, LMHC, or LICSW
Responsibilities
- Provide triage assessments
- Conduct intake evaluations
- Perform diagnostic assessments
- Develop treatment plans
- Offer crisis intervention
- Provide grief counseling (individual, couples, and group psychotherapy)
- Make community referrals for mental health and/or psychiatric treatment
