About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Counsel to join the Third Party - Technology team in the Supply Chain, Resiliency & Change Management Section of the Chief Operating Office Legal Division in the Legal Department. In this role, you will: Draft and negotiate a wide variety of agreements, in collaboration with partners, clients, and colleagues. Advise clients on risk management, conflict resolution, and contract interpretation, compliance, remediation, and enforcement. Provide business-focused, risk-based advice to clients and work in a collaborative, team-based environment. Support various third-party matters, including third-party technology (cloud computing, on-premises software, and hardware and other computing devices), data services, payment transaction processing, third-party risk management, and regulatory matters, among others. Advise on the impact of policy, legal, and regulatory changes. Identify and analyze complex legal issues, develop conclusions, and make recommendations for issue resolution. Manage outside counsel. Collaborate with partners, clients, and colleagues to resolve issues and achieve goals. Lead projects, teams, or serve as a mentor for less experienced staff. Work directly with clients and develop an in depth understanding of business unit activities.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Law experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Active State Bar membership or the equivalent in a country outside the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with third-party contracting, risk management, and regulatory matters for a financial institution.
  • Ability to research law and regulations and develop advice with respect to complex legal issues using public as well as company websites and databases.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced complex environment with a high degree of collaboration.
