About The Position

Tyson & Mendes is seeking a California-licensed Senior Counsel with strong Lemon Law defense experience to represent manufacturers and corporate clients in high-exposure Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and consumer litigation matters across California. The firm is a national leader in insurance defense and trial advocacy, known for its mission to stop Nuclear Verdicts® and its strategic approach to complex litigation. Requirements

  • JD from an ABA approved school
  • Must be licensed in the State of California
  • 8+ years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition and trial preparation
  • 5+ years of litigation experience handling Lemon Law defense matters
  • 2+ years of CRLA, tenant advocacy, or housing litigation experience
  • 2+ years of General Liability defense experience
  • Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial
  • Experience with time management systems
  • Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision
  • Outstanding listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

Nice To Haves

  • Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred
  • Experience representing manufacturers, automotive clients, or other product defendants is strongly valued, though attorneys with consumer advocacy or CRLA backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
