About The Position

The Senior Counsel, Litigation manages the organization's litigation portfolio, provides strategic legal advice on disputes, and minimizes legal risk across a multi-state healthcare enterprise. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the role serves as the primary legal advisor for litigation and pre-litigation matters and partners with operational and executive leaders.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school required.
10 years of litigation experience in a law firm or sophisticated in-house legal department required.
5 years of equivalent experience in healthcare.
Significant experience managing complex civil litigation required.
Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction required.

Responsibilities

Serve as lead attorney for litigation matters.

Select and supervise outside counsel.
Monitor litigation budgets and legal spending.
