As a Senior Cost Manager at Linesight, you will work with experienced, culturally diverse, and passionate teams. The role focuses on cost management for client projects, from tendering and cost planning through change management, cost reporting, final accounts, and construction claims. Requirements

• Experience as a Senior Cost Manager; consultancy experience is preferred.
• Experience in pre-contract cost management, budget control, and cost planning.
• Experience preparing and initiating change forms for discussion with project stakeholders.
• Knowledge of alternative construction materials.
• Chartered status or progress toward chartership.
• A degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage personal priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to build strong relationships with teams and clients through shared purpose, openness, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the tender and bid process, from preparing initial documentation through analysis and reporting.
• Manage change management by identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing changes that affect project costs.
• Analyze tenders and bids to ensure value for money for clients.
• Assist with preparing and agreeing final accounts, including handling claims, to achieve the best value for clients.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Oversee project spending by preparing valuations and cost reports, and communicate variations to the team.
• Support project management and decision-making through clear cost documentation and timely communication.
• Support transparent settlement of construction disputes and loss and expense claims.
• Mentor and lead employees to foster their performance and growth.
