In this role, you will collaborate closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Product Planning, and Finance to drive end-to-end product cost across the product lifecycle. This role combines technical understanding and financial analysis to influence design and feature decisions, ensure alignment to cost targets, and improve product value and competitiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling and cost analysis.
  • Ability to interpret technical data and translate it into financial implications and recommendations.
  • Proven collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional, matrixed environments.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver product cost forecast and cost analyses in start cost projects including risks and opportunities.
  • Drive product cost throughout the project/product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with strategic cost targets, including breaking down the overall cost target into product cost requirements at system/component level.
  • Drive design to cost initiatives to create cost-efficient solutions
  • Collaborate across commodities and stakeholders to balance QDCF-S (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Features, Sustainability) in design concepts.
  • Act as the voice of the customer on cost, feature & value trade-offs.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in cost management practices, leveraging benchmarks and digital tools.
  • Develop and maintain cost models using finance processes and tools to support decision-making.
  • Promote cost-conscious behaviors by mentoring/coaching and sharing best practices.
