About The Position

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Cost Control Specialist opportunity to support the Savannah River Site. This role is responsible for organizing, developing, analyzing, and maintaining financial analysis applications to monitor established objectives. The specialist will prepare status and management reports identifying variances in the work execution strategy and recommend solutions, providing management with the capability to maintain cost and schedule control throughout the life cycle of complex projects or work activities. Under general supervision, the role involves performing moderately complex financial analysis activities, executing financial procedures, and preparing financial reports/plans on a periodic or ad hoc basis. A key aspect is understanding the business environment and operations of the supported area, serving as a financial liaison to actively communicate with operational programs. The position requires applying financial planning and analysis techniques, including variance analysis, scenario analysis, and financial and cash flow modeling.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in engineering, construction, operations, estimating, scheduling, and project controls.
  • Strong problem solving, analysis and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Considerable proficiency in the use of automated accounting and budgeting systems as tools for performing required duties.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing work for completeness as required by project specifications and scope definitions.
