About The Position

Trystar is a leader in power distribution equipment and related services, supporting critical electrical infrastructure across North America. We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Cost Analyst to serve as the central link between Finance, Operations, and Systems across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring that operational transactions translate into accurate, standardized, and audit-ready financial results, while also driving enterprise-wide improvements in costing, inventory accuracy, and financial processes. This position will act as a cost accounting subject matter expert (SME) and change leader, establishing governance, consistency, and scalability across multiple sites. The role combines deep cost accounting expertise with process standardization, system optimization, and cross-functional leadership to support Trystar’s continued growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Experience with ERP systems, Epicor experience, a plus
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience within accounting/finance with experience in manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, and inventory accounting
  • Proficient use of financial systems and Microsoft Office tools, including proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, with a bias towards collaboration and teamwork
  • Advanced analytical/data-mining skills and the ability to translate data into meaningful financial insights
  • High attention to detail with the ability to see the “big picture”

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the enterprise cost accounting SME, partnering with the Manufacturing Controller to drive consistency across all sites
  • Support the development and enforcement of standardized cost accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Promote governance and best practices to ensure scalable, compliant financial processes
  • Identify opportunities to enhance costing accuracy, transparency, and process discipline
  • Partner with network sites on an as-needed basis to support cost accounting activities, troubleshoot issues, and drive consistency
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to drive sustainable inventory accuracy and control improvements
  • Partner with site teams to strengthen cycle counts, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Support accurate inventory valuation, reconciliations, and audit readiness
  • Monitor inventory performance and escalate risks with recommendations to leadership
  • Support enterprise standard costing methodologies across material, labor, and overhead
  • Analyze and explain cost and manufacturing variances, identifying actionable drivers
  • Partner with operations and finance to align standards, budgets, and actual performance
  • Provide insights to improve cost structure, margin, and operational efficiency
  • Support Epicor implementations and enhancements, ensuring costing and inventory integrity
  • Partner cross-functionally to align operations, finance, and system processes
  • Standardize intercompany costing and inventory processes across entities
  • Lead and support initiatives focused on process improvement, automation, and scalability
