We're looking for a Senior Cost Accountant who enjoys digging into the details, understanding the story behind the numbers, and partnering with leaders to drive better business decisions. This role is more than month-end close and financial reporting. You'll serve as a key business partner to Operations, Engineering, and Leadership while helping shape the financial performance of the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to research and apply accounting guidance appropriately
  • Experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, product costing, and financial analysis
  • Oracle experience strongly preferred; experience with large-scale ERP systems required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to build strong partnerships across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Commercial, and Leadership teams
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of manufacturing operations and profitability drivers
  • High level of accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Operations leadership to analyze business performance and profitability
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and risks impacting margins and operational performance
  • Develop reporting and analysis that supports data-driven decision making
  • Help prioritize improvement opportunities across the business
  • Maintain the standard cost system
  • Analyze product costs, margins, and inventory valuation
  • Support cycle counts and annual physical inventory
  • Manage inventory reconciliations and excess/obsolete reserve calculations
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support audits and compliance requirements
  • Maintain strong internal controls and financial discipline
  • Partner with leaders across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Commercial teams
  • Support capital investment analysis and justification reviews
  • Drive alignment toward business and financial goals
  • Help improve processes, reporting, and overall business performance
